# Attach External Wallets

{% hint style="info" %}
External Wallets are wallets typically Metamasks or Phantom wallets the group starts outside Lore. You can add them to Lore without connecting them and they are view-only (you cant transact on them on Lore)
{% endhint %}

### Why Attach External Wallet?

Your group may start wallets outside of Lore, especially on Metamask, Phantom, etc to move quickly on an opportunity.

You can now add those wallets to aggregate holdings on Lore so you can view it in once place and get an accurate understanding of the group's portoflio.

You can also easily transfer assets to those wallets on Lore.

### How it works:

1\. Navigate to the Proposals section.

3. Name your wallet, and add your external wallets.
4. Now your external wallet is attached and you can view your PnL.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.lore.xyz/getting-started/attach-external-wallets.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
